Probably jumped the gun. Tender evaluation should be checked; if done in accordance with the tender conditions (usually from Treasury) it has to be awarded to the most responsive. Despite all the wind, there was no blacklisting or similar of Royal (even that is constitutionally risky). Winde should know this and should have got an expert opinion first.

Remember how okes were praise singing for President Moonshot when he went to Durban during the 2021 July riots, as if ANC politicians did not do that.

I was taught that if you have nothing good to say, rather say nothing at all. So you believe making promises that you have no intention (nor ability) to keep is a good character trait?
