Also, think about it.

Let's say that DA is close to cutting a deal with ANC and IFP to be part of GNU. But EFF joins last minute. It would be stupid of DA to throw their wins away and if they do leave GNU immediately when EFF arrives, they'll be creating Doomsday...

It's a hard situation. And also, EFF is more than likely to throw tantrums and storm out of GNU the moment they don't get their way.
