Giving Cogta to IFP is tribalist, give them something else, the sooner they get out of their tribal mentality the better, and this is the opportunity to help them, we should be showing them there is more to life than tribes and traditional affairs, give them social development, tourism or something meaningful.
They'll get others probably too. And COGTA is more than just traditional affairs (it is in the acronym).

The CoGTA Ministry consists of the Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG) and the Department of Traditional Affairs (DTA). The Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB), South African Local Government Association (SALGA) and South African Cities Network (SACN) are entities reporting to the CoGTA Minister.

We will not tolerate sowers of divisions in the GNU, your tendencies are unbecoming and unwelcome.
So in reality he isn't entirely wrong.. Anc/da are all that is really needed to hold the line. Even the ifp largely give the GNU an air of inclusiveness.

I do want to see it succeed so that we can bring things right in this country, but the smaller parties do need to know that they aren't kingmakers in this setup, other than the ifp thanks to kzn.

This Hlengwa oke put the little boy in his place...

100%. So refreshing to hear a spade being called a spade from someone other than a whitey.

I wish journalists did this.

One thing about South Africa is that there is no place on earth like it. It's the only place on earth where diversity is actually a strength, nowhere else in the world can boast the same imho.

Malema and Zuma are the media's darlings because they sell clicks.

Watch them go suck some uBaba cock tomorrow at 14:00, instead of doing their patriotic duty and collectively ignoring him...

Do we know what channel this is or is it just the "online" channels? How is a criminal allowed national tv access?

IMHO, this is why "right wingers" (centre conservative) are winning elections all over the world. People are sick of the captured media with their propaganda BS narative calling centre conservative "right wingers".

People are also sick and tired of the mess the lefties have created in this world. Back in the day a brick layer could buy a house and support family where his wife could stay at home and raise the kids (2) who go to a good government school and life goes on, which is just a pipe dream now because of inflation.

I also think the makeup of the party generally should represent the makeup of their voters. In South Africa- we must accept that race issues will always be utilized politically. Race forms our identity in SA. Maybe it will change in the future but definitely not in our lifetimes.

If for eg. White people don't vote for the ANC- it doesn't make sense that we have a 50/50 black- white ratio. I'm not sure about the demographics and race of DA voters but it will be interesting to see if the race ratio of DA politicians represent the race of their voters?
But...but "rainbow nation" and all that?

No?

DA got 3.5 million votes. How many registered white voters are there?
When the NP closed up shop, they gave every white person a double vote. This was part of our WMC package where we all inherited wealth, houses and, yes, extra votes, from our NP grandparents and parents.

Just ask @surface ...he'll confirm all of this.
