No. First of all not all voting districts have been counted (23 076 of 23 292 Voting Districts completed). Secondly, he's comparing apples and pears because of a substantial reduction in turnout.

I could also frame it in the following way:

DA - 2014 national vote: 4 091 584
DA - 2019 national vote: 3 622 531
DA loss of votes (not taking into account turnout differences): 469 053.

DA - 2024 national vote: ????? (still waiting but likely to be 3.5m). Anyhow, Steenhuisen was mostly effective in stemming the bleeding. Do calculations of 2014 @ 58% turnout and you see Mmusi's DA would have got fewer votes than Steenhuisen.
