He doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously. He was making gestures saying that they’re all gonna sleep there tonight. It’s just for show at this point.

I must say one thing about Julias, he has exceptionally straight teeth. @DentistGuy what you think ? Definitely cleaner than the DA guys, but not so much like the DA lady.
 
Suppose it's a astute political move on there part when you think of it that way, to test the GNU.

"COMMENT | The EFF gave the clearest indication yet tonight that they will put the Phala Phala matter back on the agenda of the Seventh Parliament.

EFF deputy leader Floyd Shivambu handed a letter to Speaker Thoko Didiza, asking her to institute an impeachment hearing into President Cyril Ramaphosa following a report by former chief justice Sandile Ngcobo that found in December 2022 that Ramaphosa may have committed impeachable offences.

Parliament voted against impeachment proceedings at the time, but the EFF argues Ramaphosa's failed attempt to have the report overturned by the Constitutional Court (the court said they had no jurisdiction and Ramaphosa should go to the high court) has opened the way for a fresh impeachment hearing.

The political strategy by the EFF is clear: they want to test the ANC's new coalition partners, the DA and IFP, if they would vote against an impeachment hearing to protect Ramaphosa or not. These are the kind of scenarios that will test the foundations of the GNU agreement entered into between the troika parties today.

It's the same pattern in National and KZN. Was probably agreed to in National talks.

Nah Ian Cameron wouldn't be able to deal with the complex nature of such a huge human capital organisation. The police is too politicised for a wet behind the ears like him.

I want Kohler Barnard as justice minister but again, the ANC won't give that up.

Are you sure it's Kohler Barnard you want?
 
Phala Phala will be booted in parliament again - if the ANC can keep their rogue element in check - even though there is significant merit in it because the alternative is simply chaos.

I disagree. Perhaps it is just what the Ministry needs, he also has vast experience in community policing and crime activism, so it can only do good.

Not like Cele who only had a hat and a teacher's diploma...
