Use XP to flash - I use VMWARE on a Win7 machine - Laptop is best - Good luck.
Have changed to ock's Ultralite - then installed most of my apps to My Storage - Phone runs very fast then added gChris's titanium plug = Excellent!
Why did you change from Pdhee?
I installed PDhee_i900Omnia_23544.5.5.0_M2Dv2_beta1 2 days ago. Good, fast rom. M2D working better for me then Titanium. No problems so far. Got the weather app working as well for Pretoria. Only problem is that M2D v2 dont list the missed calls and sms messages on the Home screen, which for me is a problem.
Well that sucks.
Wanted an Ultralite so that I could install (almost) all my Appz into MyStorage and tweak the phone the way I like - Also way prefer Titanium - am using gchrisTitanium plugin for my Home screen.
Getting a bit addicted to flashing - Found some Cooking Tutorials - thats next on my list - LOL - Eats up my time - Sleeping at midnight every day - HAHA - heres the link for ock

Have you tried Kies_1.1.5.9114 from the Samsung Apps site - It's a bit slowish but it's the only i900 Suite I've seen - You can find it here http://www.samsungapps.com/about/onPc.as

Yeah, I installed it and tested the contacts backup. Works well. Looked at some of the other features to. Very cool program, best of it's type I have used yet. Formatted PC recently, so have to install again. Will give some more feedback once it is up and running again.

Is it just me or is there nothing there anymore? I load that link via Chrome and IE8 and I see nothing to download. Recently lost about 200 contacts off my phone when I did a normal Windows 7 sync after deleting the other "partnerships" that were setup on the phone. Stupid, I know

For contacts, sms, email backup, try PIM backup (cooked in mentioned ROM, but is freeware)
The i900 is an excellent phone with a fast processor (screen a little small - the main reason I am upgrading to HTC HD2).
With Ock's win 6.5 ROM, I have the benefit of good hardware coupled to the friendly TouchFlo interface. I almost never use my stylus, not sure where it even is right now. There are plenty touch software programs...- file managers, music players, Scientific/graphing calculators, games etc. on the web i.e. if you know where to look ;-)

Yes, just install it and set to Autoscale

The processor in the i900 is 624 MHZ, but ramps down to a lower speed to save battery life. It then ramps up according to your usage/CPU load etc.
What XCPUSCALAR does (default settings), is, it sets the minimum frequency to 200 MHZ, instead of maybe 50 or 100. Thus the response is quicker. It ramps up from there quicker than normal - video playback is much smoother and games more responsive etc. The downside is that it can reduce battery life (in my case - not so bad), and it only allows the maximum to 500 MHZ as opposed to the specified 624.
I have just set mine to permanently run at 500 - blitz vinnig!!
