Worked on a Spiral system. Push and it screws. There was also a little switch to change it from "Screw" to "unscrew".

I do actually own one, without the ratchet though (maybe time for an "upgrade"). It's very handy except some odd cases where a longer screwdriver is needed.And you can pick one up for about €7 ...R120......Noice
