The Screwdriver I did not know I needed

Ah, okay.. you hate Linus, so can't be bothered to have an unbiased opinion about the screwdriver...

Linus made it, so it must be terrible.. of course there are no reviews yet, the thing has just been released.. project farm will be reviewing it soon..

I think the problem is more like it's 20% better for 200% more money (comparing $ to $ vs the competition). The big issue is poor value. I saw the "Trust Me Bro Warranty" situation was also extremely disrespectful to their customers when drivers that cost 1/3 the price have better warranties.

NO NO NO. I don't hate Linus neither do I hate air fryers. Here is the thing, all the Philips air fryer guys on MBB claim Philips is the only and best air fryer, all their "proof" is out of the Philips marketing brochure, yet if you go the review sites, the Philips does not feature in the top 5.
This is the same here with the expensive screwdriver. You all claim how innovative it is, how great quality etc. Yet none of you have it and there is no true reviews on it. You just take a guy that loves money and sponsors, word for it?
 
I wont lie, when it comes to tools, I am easily swayed, just like how some people pre-order cars just based on hype.

So when the Linus (I now know it was an advertisement) popped up. It was preaching to the choir, especially when it seems that he spoke about issues I have with the bosch.

There has been very good alternatives recommended on this thread. I will probably spoil myself during December.

When it comes to expensive stuff, this is always the case. There's diminishing returns once you pass a certain point.

Compared with say a Wera KK27 screwdriver, Linus is expensive. But compared with PB Swiss R-100? Suddenly it looks pretty competitive.
 
If I may ask another question. What is the fascination with a ratchet screw driver? I use screwdrivers almost daily and have two ratchet screwdrivers and almost never use them.
First for the ratchet to work you need some tension on the screw, so when you start screwing there is not tension and ratchet is not working, same with loosening, at start it works well and the it will stop at one stage.
I know you can set it to operate like a normal screwdriver, but then you could just buy a normal screwdriver for R80. I mean do you need to change settings then while screwing on every screw?

Secondly, these screwdrivers with all the bits in them. Why the hassle of opening up a little compartment and changing bits every time. I have one like that in my camp trailer. Its convenient for in case once in two years I might need it.
But anyone say building a pc or electronics on more frequent base, will just have 3 or 4 normal screwdrivers of the different sizes needed at hand? I mean that is much more convenient to just grab another one than to have to change bits the whole time? So yes if you use it once a year at least you can just have in in your desk drawer. But surely anybody using screwdrivers more often would not use these things that you need to change bits the whole time.

It's not only the best Airfryer. It is the only Airfryer.
 
Screwdriver used the most the last 10 plus years. Bought it as part of a kit, from Esquire or Sahara, over 10 years ago, for cheap cheap.

To fix the screws that are loose. But for some people no amount of bits will be able to solve the problem.

Never said it was innovative, said it was generally a good screw driver.

Have you only had cheap ratchet screwdrivers that don't work or are you just inept? It's the same as putting tension normally with a screw driver but you don't need to adjust your grip every time.

Because then they're all in one place, makes it easier to keep track of, you don't lose it when you place it to the side since the box containing them doesn't fit next to you (think being on a ladder).

Have you ever built a PC? There are usually around 3 different sizes, and they're all generally used at the same time after one another. It's also easier to swap/test bits quickly than it is to go through multiple different screw drivers till you find the right one, plus storing 12 bits (plus I can use them with my electric screw driver) is a lot less space than 12 screw drivers, never mind the 36 bits I have (mix of hex, torx, phillips), also good luck finding certain screw drivers for some of the odd, smaller sized screws. I feel like you've never properly done handiwork before.

Note I wrote this all a few hours ago and forgot about it, if any new posts since viking's first one, haven't read them.
