Heya guys im looking for some feedback, are there any other South African players that play the Shaman class? Cause the thing most people that are South African i have seen so far play Mages, DK's, Druids and Hunters. (The Faceroll Classes) If so how are you guys finding the class as it is thus far and the upcoming 6.2 Nerfs? I personally find it insulting and a joke to nerf a class that is already suffering beyond belief and to buff classes like hunters even more.

Sure I know the game has become easier in the years since I've retired, but I find it hard to think that all these classes have become faceroll. No class in wow has ever really been hard to play, but calling them faceroll is a bit much I'd think.
Are you talking about only certain specs, say DPS or general or do you perhaps just not really know what you are talking about regarding other classes?
I get that you'd want your class buffed, but all classes have had their time in the limelight in the past, even shammy's.
(well except for Hunters, don't get me started on them. Blizzard's lovechild)
Well it isnt ment to be insulting, But it seems that they are the easier to use classes and ye i have got all of the above so i have played them and the toolkits they all have to do what they have to do is alot easier than that of a shammy. The imbalance of the classes is funny as hell ATM and hunters who are dominating both PVE and PVP are getting buffed again and again every small patch is becoming to be a major problem. Shamans in current game is counterable by every class, we cannot solo kill a class at all in PVP. (Cool im fine with that im now a support class sure i cannot solo kill, but the fact that i have 0 support spells as a ele Shaman means that my role is countered by my own toolkit. Makes me sad

What needs to be remembered is that these classes are Pure DPS classes. They can't do anything else, while Shammies seems to be doing fine in the healing department.

And you call other classes faceroll?
I agree that hunters (my baby) are doing pretty well from what I've seen (had to stop raiding due to work) but I can play my ele sham with my eyes closed

Generally I find that if you think your class is so far off the pace that it is ridiculous, you're missing something or doing something with the class that is not intended by Blizzard (whether thats a good thing or not depends).
Usually Blizzard gives adequate explanations of why they're making changes to the class. You might want to go back through the history of changes to determine what path they're intending your class to go down.

Not disputing that fact i can play my class with my eyes closed aswell but the imbalance come when certain class toolkits allow for them to furfill there desired role. all im saying is that there is no direction in the shaman class as a whole. Resto seems to be fine but Elemental and Enhancement are having issues beyond belief. I dont want to be godlike i want to be competative, by me choosing to Elemental as a spec and deciding that i am going to be DPS should mean that i can deal damage just as well as the pure classes, i havnt got escape and damage mitigation abilities (Ala Ice block, ECT.) so i have healing. Which tbh the ele shaman healing couldnt keep up a mouse even with lucky crits and a butt load of Multi. I am one of the top DPS's for my guild only by the fact that i cannot use half of my toolkit if the situation requires it. (Often the case im global locked) If you want to see my character check Vashni on the Shadowsong EU server. (Not sure if i logged out in my PVE gear or my PVP gear and im at work right now so ill check it when i get home) Maybe im doing something wrong but some help would be good.
There hasnt been a Blue post on the shaman forums that is addressing the problems since the end of MOP

I have to say I found playing resto shammy tricky but if you can get your totems at the right place at the right time you are half way here IMHO.
I am doing very well with a hunter in dungeons, it is easy enough for a casual player like me to be 1st or second with damage dealt.
OT: why are Hunters and Druids such needy bastards in the higher level dungeons?

Grounding totem, cap totem, knock back, frost shock, interrupt. Atleast in pve and CM's to be more specific, the ele shammy toolkit is amazing. i didnt even mention earthquake which is an amazing counter to aoe stuns as it has a chance to stun individual mobs which reset swing timers after a aoe stun.
Grounding totem sure decent for PVE, Cap Totem requires you to have a talent point and just some dumb luck with terrain to make actually work properly, Knockback that people hate having the mobs blasted apart and ofc we have to be in Melee and this spell also has terrain issues. Frost Shock is never able to be used cause of the way Elemental uses its Flame Shock and earth shock as part of its base rotation. Interrupt is good, Best interrupt in the game but unfortunately when standing at max range (40 FT) and i have to run in to 25 foot range to interrupt is silly. Cause Blizz refuses point blank to separate Elemental and Enhancement spells, all our talents are actually identical. its sad

I got pissed of and left WOW due to the fact that Shamans is utter crap now. They promised big changes for 6.1 after which they made shamans even worse. Now I am back to Hearthstone, never should have left it for WOW.

i think if your having trouble keeping up with other people/classes your just a bad player overall.
go look at some logs, theres a shaman #1 ranked on 3/13 bosses and in top 10 on 4 more bosses. on normals, http://www.worldoflogs.com/ranking/eu-us/hellfire-citadel/dps/
in the top 10 for most in heroic also, also in mythic
so looks like you've got some learning to do ^^ clearly you dont know how to play your class otherwise you wouldnt be complaining.
and FYI i play a monk ^^ not everyone plays mages,dk,druids, hunters

Mages are faceroll? First I have heard of that. I would recommend you level and play that class before making such statements.
Shamans are okay. It depends what you want to use them for. Are you doing PVE or PVP? What type of PVP? Single target arena or multiple target RBG. Shamans are tough, but right now nothing beats a druid, except sometimes my monk. Currently, druids and paladins are tier 1 in PVP, monks and priests are tier 2 and I would say a shaman is tier 3. However, my stats are for PVP, not PVE.

I love Blizzard.... lets introduce fistweaving! and then lets nerf any spell that may make fistweaving a viable spec. Im sure Blizz wants me to play a dudu. They just keep buffing the druids.

i have no problems with my monk i have no problem keeping up with the rest in mythic progress
