True. MyBB's "thing" to refer to "company", "big city" etc. rather than name them causes me not to click on articles. I must admit, it seems to have improved a little bit lately.

Those are loaded words, a term I learnt from someone else who is very critical of this sort of yellow press journalism.
Loaded Words, FUD, Chicken Littling, Red Alert, etc
