Random question, is touch screen best for maneuvers compared to say a joy/side stick? Has the school of thought around this changed?

I would think the touchscreen simply invokes software routines that fire the little rockets that manoeuvre Endeavour. No direct control.

I'm repeatedly struck by the informal almost casual tone of the commentary and even coms. Just not getting used to astronauts being referred to as Bob and Doug. Reminds me of that silly Canadian tv series.

Wow, that launch was amazing to watch. That rocket accelerates fast, seems much faster off the ground from what I remember of the Space Shuttle? Very exciting times, and next year it is Starship's turn.
