The Starfield thread

Add to the bug list mine crashed yesterday which I suspect was due to bad Internet.

Also get a bug when you are talking to an NPC the camera is sometimes pointing the wrong way or behind a wall. Weird when a wall is talking to you and give you solid options.

Another bug is when too close to a wall or something and then the camera goes bonkers.

I want to start (again) with outposts etc. when I've completed the 10 new game+ levels so at the moment I am just doing enough quests to get geared up to complete the game.

If you decide to go this route, remember to get the power upgrades from each temple with each playthrough as they don't auto upgrade like your armor and ship.

I saw that yesterday as well, so only gonna do proper base after.

But some might not be worth it if you wanna Fastrack

Oh and searching for best place to build I also found this hint

I am trying to get Outpost Engineering up. The resource grind is real. Encourages exploration. Found an iron rich planet that is teeming with life, fauna and flora drops sealant, structural material, and luxury textiles.
Just gotta be careful. High level wildlife can 1 hit you.
Starship Design can wait till I get a handle on outposts and it's upgrades.

Someone did not watch the outpost 101 video posted earlier.

Started NG+ cool new outfit and ship
Will join all factions in 2nd playthrough. (Finished Freestar rangers and UC Vanguard in 1st playthrough)
People that complained about the game can go fly a kite.
Next up CP2077 base game when DLC drops, hopefully it's good, will be 1st playthrough.

Starting to step away from Starfield
It's an okay game and have been having fun with it, but I feel for me the problem is that the entire time I have been playing I have not met one legitimately interesting or unique character.

They all make me think of the typical MMORPG NPC that is just there to give you a quest. They are all just so generic and I don't give crap about any of them, even after 'that' happens in the main quest - which I am not even going to finish, because it's not a good story. Completely by the numbers.

The colony building is also just bad. It's like they learnt nothing from Fallout 4. It's not fun to do and just infuriating

The gunplay is also just Fallout 4 with a boost pack. It's a literal copy - no differences. Do better.

Will probably still play a bit every once in a while, but Elder Scrolls or Fallout captivating this ain't
Now that I have Gamepass there are a lot better games to play

Cool, bro

I've been lucky, haven't experienced any bugs so far. Only about 20 hours in though.
Most annoying bug - sometimes the pack/ship boost sound disappears.

Most annoying thing - Sam Coe and that bookworm kid blocking the walkway.

Although I am getting better with ship battles, one thing I struggle with is assigning power fast enough to weapons. I find this to be a very frustrating experience (PC + Keyboard)
