The Starfield thread

Jy is nogals.

I've made a complete post on this comparing diablo 3 and diablo 4's pricing.

Nutshell: it's more or less the same price for both base versions if you adjust d3's launch price in usd and paying that in rands.

I suppose we still need to entertain folks who always think a cheese burger costs R1.92 at mcdonnalds, that their currency and country's is at the same standards, that they still want to pay R300 per game, that they will never have to "pay more" or are just completely unable of the required deduction and thought train(s).
You only entrench my point, in a country with a bad currency it's stupid to spend so much more of it on a flawed luxury item that wont live up to it's marketing promises.... you are literally wasting money.

Same folks who go to the pub spend 1k and then think a game is expensive. lol.

Again I've made the complete pub, movie ticket and pricing of then and now in the diablo thread...
I don't eat out, go to the cinema or the pub.... I don't waste money on overpriced items.

Nee fok, stop net daar. Jy maak ons nog meer dom met jou kak.

Seems to me that R1,400 for a few hundred hours of enjoying my hobby is a good deal.
If I only get 50 hours out of it, that's R28 an hour for a good time.

I suppose Netflix is cheaper than that if you can find something to watch. Kakking, that's cheaper. Food is more expensive. Works out to 1 beer an hour so drinking is more expensive.

It is a fairly large outlay, but for something that provides many hours of enjoyment, it's pretty cheap.

I've paid about 1800 for diablo 4 (99.99 eur for the ultimate), I've already clocked almost 340 hours. Do the math in terms of movies or pub visits...

Also.... surprise plot twist:

  1. You can save up and or go less to pub, movies etc
  2. You can use something like ebucks - what I'm going to do for lords of the fallen, just let it tick upwards and let it pay the odd 1k for the game

Of course none us do this, right?
We all just have shitloads of $$$ and instantly without planning or budgeting just buy what we want asap stroking our fomos :rolleyes:

It's just plain madness man.... wait for heavy heavy specials and buy in bulk at this point. I just pirate everything and wait till I can afford to add it to my collection. I leave full price to first worlders. Problem is you cant really do that with console games which are excessively priced the way Activision and Paradox games are so.... guess they don't need my pittance.

Most I ever spent on one game was maybe R200.
@rambo919 why you complaining about pricing if you going to pirate the game in any case?

I wouldn't know, all I see is this:

I eventually pay for everything I pirate. Paying is not the problem, paying what it's worth (and/or what I can afford) instead of asking price is.

As I said, I don't waste money.
