The Starfield thread

So the gunplay is fantastic but there's some minor Bethesda annoyances that slow the pace of the game down. Specifically around inventory management, following characters during quests etc. Don't want to get too much into it to avoid spoiling it but it's still a great game...

The mods never made up for it.... that's in there too.... look again.

"mods will save the game" is largely a myth.

Even the truly good overhaul mods end up not properly doing the job and eventually dying on the vine

How would you know?
If you hardly played the game I doubt you even tried mods

I understand now why nobody likes talking to you

Why you playing at 4k with those specs?
You will probably double your frames dropping to 2k

So you are telling me, this thread exists solely for fanboys (who had already been fanboying for months before they could even evaluate anything) to gush about their newfound love? Should that not be in the title then? Something like "The Starfield fan appreciation society thread"

No but play the game, or plan on playing the game. Even if you don't plan on playing it, at the very least just be lekker, don't be a po3s. Otherwise fck off, you're polluting this thread with trash for anyone wanting to have a discussion and has to sift through your schit...

This is the thing, you all are taking this weirdly personally, I am giving objective opinion based on past experience with Bethesda games which reviews have thus far supported as likely to once again be the case.

Next year sometime or in des I dunno yet, I will play it probably and my mind might be changed.... however I have once again to remind you... of all the cringy sorority girl level gushing everyone has been doing before they even played the game....

Either way, I won't be playing this before the first patch season at least, I have learnt that lesson.

We don't give a schit about your past experiences of Bethesda games, this is a Starfield thread. @bwana kindly remove the troll from here...
 
At first, I was a little skeptical and a bit disoriented by the start of the game. But then, after a while & especially after a certain mission where you have to do a certain something hehe. :D I'm really enjoying it now. I implemented the dlss mod and rebuilt the shaders, switched off the motion blur, the game has much better clarity and performance now. :D
