The Starfield thread

Everything on the lowest except res is 1080.
But yeah, if that's the case I'm not going to play.
I don't think it is the graphics or GPU.
Everything comes to a stop whenever there is conversation involved or AI.
I wouldn't say this is the best optimisated game at it's current state but I guess this will be case for most newer titles arriving. Even remnant 2 devs said they expect you to use upscaling.

Probably as you say all the extras running which would make sense of 80-90% gpu usage but gpu temps remain stable 50-60c on my 3080.

It's a CPU-intensive game. Even on Series X there's the occasional dropped frames when NPC density increases...

Hmm.. game struggling on my and 6700 i7. Seems like whenever there are enemies and discussions, probably anything AI, it goes bonkers, sound and graphics.
Keep in mind it's not the final version and graphics driver updates have not caught up yet.... over time it could become worse or better performing.

Unfortunately today I am working from the London office. So I am getting home at 7:30pm at the earliest and I am going to try gather the strength to bet through the starter missions.
some demanding stakeholder has scheduled a 16:30 meeting for me today.

Was there a nvidia update when starfield was released? There normally is always an update when new games come out.

Didnt check but it sometimes takes a few updates to get everything right anyway..... things change over time.

There she is, me and my Baby Girl. We do all sorts of stuff together, shootin bad guys, travelling the cosmos.

And on the left is Andreja who steps into my line of fire every time I start shooting. Dumbass.

I can never decide between First Person POV and Third Person POV.
In Bethesda games I always use first person (third person on horses in Elder Scrolls though). Third person in their games is pretty bad imo. Don't have Starfield yet so don't know if it's the same.

Installed on PC too now, would like to see how my 3060Ti holds up.

Will probably do a second playthrough on PC for mods once I'm done with the main story on Xbox.

Can I move the gamepass game data to another PC (like with steam) or will I need to download everything from scratch on the other PC (sucks) ?

Check if you can copy the Starfield\Data folder from gamepass install location to Steam install location on other PC(SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data), it should validate most of the data when you press install on steam and only download the relevant missing items which should not be that big.
