It's not steam though. It's Xbox GamePass.Check if you can copy the Starfield\Data folder from gamepass install location to Steam install location on other PC(SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data), it should validate most of the data when you press install on steam and only download the relevant missing items which should not be that big.
What's worse is slogging my overburdened self over 800m just to get to the landing site and it's a UC ship and I don't want to stir the pot with a friendly faction just yetThere is an easier way. Land on random planets. Wait for other ships to land close by. Engage with them and kill them then take the ship. easy peasy. Make sure none of your crew is with, they will hate you for it, unless you are taking on enemies. Ship below I took off enemies.

So basically if you can't install on a SSD, don't bother
Running game 2k with high settings, no problem, but every once in a while the game will randomly freeze for a few seconds to load something, often times mid conversation so the lip syncing is also out.
Game is also... I dunno. Soulless. It's just more of the same Bethesda, but with space stuff. I'm just not clicking with it and after 2 hours I'm done.
Guess playing Baldur's Gate 3 ruined it for me. While playing this I just feel like I'd rather play BG
But, that's just my opinion.
Luckily only rented.
That happened to me. It gets better once you get through the early phases.Game is also... I dunno. Soulless. It's just more of the same Bethesda, but with space stuff. I'm just not clicking with it and after 2 hours I'm done.
Where do you live?Meh Already uninstalled. Will try again after a few months of patching. Getting another SSD is not a viable option right now and what I've read online playing on normal HHD is impossible for a good time
Garden RouteWhere do you live?
Answer below if you want to know instead of finding out by yourself...Fuuuuuuck me what a grind, but finally got the Star Eagle... and then some junk ship I hijacked.
2000+ cargo space! Now if only I knew how to get shielded cargo on it
Kinda baffled at this type of criticism, tbh. What did people think it was going to be? Plus, everything they've shown since it was announced basically said 'Skyrim in space'.So basically if you can't install on a SSD, don't bother

Yeah, I installed it on a HDD that had space open without thinking it would be an issue. Started the game just after reading this and sure enough it hangs very often for long times. HDD sits at 100% the whole time. Made some space on my old SSD and moved the install over and no more issues.Meh

So maybe it is not my 1070 and 6700K that is the real issue here.Yeah, I installed it on a HDD that had space open without thinking it would be an issue.
