The Starfield thread

Does marrying somebody in the game stop all of them from asking you to chat? Sam Coe just wants to go gay cowboy on me...

I need these bots to shut up and shoot things.

There's nothing quite like having a conversation with an NPC, then having another random NPC shuffle across the screen in from the first one you're talking to, staring at you. Just to randomly shuffle away moments later.

Nah, I mean the actual quests that take place in the city.
Go here get me a coffee and come back
Go here collect these scanners and come back
Go here and flip these switches and come back
Go there and find my lost files and come back
Go here and talk to these people and come back
Go here, eavesdrop and come back
Go get my package and come back
Go get this guy and take him there

It's been a mind numbing few hours.
Getting easy xp and credits have never been so tough

There is a kiosk at the bar in the well that give you go kill quests...

On a Side note: If you find a note that direct you to a Secret base. Drop everything and go do it. Oh and take loads of ammo.

I spent all of yesterday setting up mining operations all over the place. Ming copper, ALUMINIUM, copper, cobalt, nickel, beryllium, europium and various gasses. The biggest issue I have now is that the vendors don't have enough credits so I must either run around from vendor to vendor like a headless chicken or sell for less than the goods are worth.

Can always sleep on it.

Vendors reset every 48 local hours, so key is finding a moon with fast rotation. "Rest" on a bench for hour or 2, sell, rest, again, sell....

Not there yet (Mining) but been using above to get rid of all the guns and crap I pick up on my "Go Kill X" missions.

Struggling to love it. But haven't played that much yet. Going to give it more time
The guests are lame so far.
But, exploring space, discovering planets and cities, docking at space stations and stuff like that are fantastic. They did a good job creating all these unique places and cities.

Just a shame there are a lot of copy paste on the more random planets

PS if you haven't Spoken to LIST on Mars you gonna back-track a crapton of places.

It becomes a vicious circle of greed. During rest the credits reset but my mining carries on so I have a full stash when I fly back there. Then it is loading my ship and resting to get the credits to reset but my mining carries on so I have a full stash when I fly back there. Workbench next to mine and make things that use up resources might help?
Making stuff also gives XP

The problem is that while mining is automated, everything else is manual. So you have to keep going back there.

Would be cool if you could install some kind of module to get your resources automatically converted to credits, even if it's below the going rate...

Havent even looked at that part of the game yet... still too busy killing & stealing* but I can see how that can be a problem.

*Reason I am only level 15 and already running with full legendary ship, gear & weapons.

If you rest on Venus, 24 hours local time is something like 100 hours UT, so you can do a very short rest (1 hour), fill your ship to the brim (with lots of cargo space) and then sell to the various trade authorities as they have 11000 credits. It ain't much, but it's honest work.

I keep spending far too much money changing my ship for no good reason. On the one hand I have a baller ship. On the other hand my money never gets above 250k.
