The Starfield thread

Yeah no, not touching that setting cause I suck @ playing FPS on the console.

Ordered an Upgrade kit for my PC from Evetech today so maybe later...
Best way to improve your aim is to increase the difficulty :p Once you get there, there's no way you can play at lower difficulties again without it feeling lame. It's like playing on very easy...

Pirates or bounty hunters waiting for you in orbit around the planet you are on?
fast travel to a city you've previously been to
Get the Mantis ship as soon as you can. There is a 50% chance the space pirates will appologise and give you some credits when you warp into orbit where they are hanging out.

Spec-wise that's about right.

I'd highly recommend talking to @Progenix Oj101 though. Evetech has a history of terrible service and dodgy practices, I wouldn't touch them if they were R1,000 cheaper.
Noted.

What GPU do you have?

Nvidia 1060 6GB
I just wanna get past the heavey pew pew scenes (at least 30FPS @ 1080p)

Running the test on my PC on Saturday was like watching em old flip page books with CPU parking at solid 100% and GPU not even breaking a sweat.

Yea you're definitely CPU bottlenecked. Your upgrade should shift that to the GPU somewhat and likely make it a smoother, more consistent experience. High-FPS is always nice, but consistent FPS is better.

Thanks for this, apparently i have the star eagle, freestar rangers quests completed.

See he also did a video on the subject. I do disagree with some points but that is clearly cause my choice is based on my current needs.

There is some helpful info I will probably use later ie: design of ship quest.

What I really enjoy about the ship building is that there's no "best" ship in my opinion. Really depends on your needs and play style and which role you're playing.

They should really have made a separate app for shipbuilding.

Would have been a great way to pass LS slots on the laptop with.

I was quite impressed by the character creator. Was actually able to make a character that looks like me. How far we have come from Oblivion
