at the centre of my universe
i've come to a conclusion that i love the stargate series....SG-1 and Atlantis. i acquired the seasons i missed since i stopped having dstv...so i'm about to start season 8. i always digged it.....just the concept of walking through a portal and standing on another habitable planet instantaneously.....so f@#$ing cool. and all the space ships and cool tech. yes i'm almost 30...but men never grow up.

my "contact" at work moved to another country...and i now have no supplier for the latest season of atlantis....i'm in withdrawl!
 
I can't wait for the Ultimate SG-1 collection (region 2) to come out, it'll cost about R2000 but I will buy it, that will be my dream come true.

I'm not really a fan of Atlantis, it's okay but not SG-1.

I love how they use history to make it believe like there is so much more to the universe and keep it all 'believable'

Stargate is amazingly brilliant!

Scooby_Doo; I also was upset watching RDA leaving, but hey... SG-1 did live on without him and he reappears so often its like a super TREAT seeing him.

Only lasted 2 seasons, 9 and 10, after he left before it was finnished, i do think it may have lasted beyond 10 seasons if Mr Anderson had stayed. He wanted to spend more time with his famiuly which i can respect.
 
Scooby, what you don't know is that his daughter DEMANDED he go back to SG-1 which he did, but what you might also NOT know is that there is a 3rd spin off from the Stargate universe coming, SG-1 had to end so that Atlantis could carry on and then they could work the story into the 3rd spin off (I do not know anything about the 3rd spin off yet)

I also remember the writers saying, they are sad but happy SG-1 came to a end, simply becuase of the saying "quit while you're ahead"

They didn't want to RUIN the series by going on to much.. thats why the movies are coming.

I think the last movie will start the 3rd series.
 
I have always loved Stargate. Saw the movie too many times to count. Actually I once went to movies and went into the wrong cinema and it was Stargate again. I didn't get up and walk out.

I really look forward to every Tuesday to watch SG1 on ActionX and am really looking forward to the return of SGA.

sounds like more good news. its the only stuff i really watch on tv, so my escape into the land of fantasy must be worthwhile.
