I'm on a personal mission to level one of each class to top level on one server.

Currently:

70 Rogue
70 Shaman
63 Lock

Lock will be 70 in the next few days :) Now for my next project I don't know what class to lvl. I have a Warrior on lvl 30/32 (not sure) or a Paladin I played last night when I got borred of questing the Lock.

Now I need to keep End game in mind when i level my next char also.

The above 3 all have their place in end game. I would love to have a Tankadin for end game raids in WoTLK. I just wonder if it will be viable ? I don't want a Priest in Plate.

So currently I'm thinking of going with the Pala above the Warrior for the time being. However if I'm going to be stuck needing to heal end game in WoTLK then I'll rather level the Warrior.

Pls guys, I need your help :)

Pala ... no better feeling than pulling 15-20 mobs at a time and grinding them to paste

Death Knight, thou i dont particulary like them.

my lock is almost 73

Damn, that's nice :)

a friend of mine on Spinebreaker hit 79 yesterday, might already be 80. have noticed quite a few lvl 80 on there. Saturday we had our first Realm lvl 80. a Paladin.

I have been thinking and I'd rather lvl my Warrior for tanking. I'm hating the Pala, might just be purely because he's only lvl 14 now but I find him to be very strange to play. Or maybe I should stick it out till atleast lvl 30 and see if it gets better ? I just don't know.

Logged on again last night to get my Lock to 66, but my connection sucked dog balls. I just switched it off, playing lag with a Lock is a no go and I was having a ping of 1.2k - 1.8k. It never happens so I figured something must be wrong. But I'll get lvl 66 tonight. I want 70 by the end of this coming weekend. Then it's just the wait till payday for the Expansion :D

I think you mught be right, maybe I should do a DK instead :) The rush is almost over as all the DK's are in Nagrand now. So if I roll a DK once my Lock is lvl 80 (For raiding) Then I can level the rest on my own time.

I'm starting to hate the whole DK idea as they are all over the place, that is all you see lately. But I got to Rape one yesterday. I even corpse camped him :D. They are very OP at lvl 60, but at lvl 65 they start to level uot and scale better with the other types of chars. My Lock killed him so much he logged his main.

Trick is to stay out of the circle, fear (He has some ability to break fear) then Death coil and fear again :D. His pet kept going for my IMP which was cool.

And once he dies, make sure to kill the spirit undead thingy or he will kill you. I out ran it on one occassion :D

Don't konw about any DK 80,s on our realm but saw a 73 and a 75 last night!

and SK / Nilinium Combined forces and cleared all 10 and 25 man raid content with 65 hours from going live

How do you kill that which has no life

Warro and Palla both at lvl72 so it's going slow here :(

Id go for pala tank skaapie...in brewfest i sukkeld my gat af om mense lewendig te hou sonder 'n tankadin

you serious?? that boss was easy with my warrior. our healer was dps'ing cause he was bored. all i had was T4 kit.

Back to your question, my main is a pala and I've healed my whole way through TBC (something you would clearly hate to do) :p

Ret palas were a joke in TBC but its becoming a very serious contender for top dps spots in WotLK.
On beta realms Ret palas did higher dps than rogues, they were between DKs.
Even after the 3.0.3 nerf they still do fine.

Prot palas are also huge fun to level (but only if you AoE grind).
Pull 20 mobs at a time and watch them beat themselves to death against you.

(Btw prot palas can also be surprisingly fun in PvP, probably the only class that doesn't hate rogues. Many a naive rogue have beaten themselves to death against a prot pala due to all the melee reflection damage.)

Holy palas are hard to level, period. You can also AoE grind slowly by concecrating 10-15mobs to death at a time (self-healing with concentration aura) but its still a slow grind. Shockadin dps is now more viable with the short Holy Shock cd but its still not what I'd call imba.
Blizz admitted in a blue post that they want to further up holy pala dps for grinding purposes. I've re-specced my holy pala to ret for the expansion and the levelling is now a lot of fun.

You'll only really start experience the pala class around level 30 when you can start putting in some talent points. Levelling to 30 will probably be a frustrating grind if you're used to primary dps classes.

As above I also play a pala... and was healing endgame raids... On the other hand, I have not respecced ret, despite having BT lvl ret gearz, as 90% of the guilds healers respecced dps to level LK. I thought this wasn't a good idea and have been in demand as healzor from day 1 of LK! :P

My pala is now halfway through 76, should ding 77 tonight... GIEF Cold Flyer. I have to admit its been a grind tho, I would be 80 already if it didnt take so long to kill stuff :(

Imo the paladin class is way broken atm. But this has been said by others before me... but anyway, to add to your observation... increased judgement range is awesome... solo ranged pull yay! But sorely lacking in the dps department...

I agree that from lvl 30 ish when u can get things like SoC, pala starts becoming a lot more fun to play, but still involves micromanagement of rotations unlike any other class I have played. In short... palas require love and attention to level up, but once u get there... they pretty much do rock :)
