Imagine my surprise when I came across this a short while ago:

http://www.2checkout.com/campaigns/sa/

Effectively this is a big SCREW YOU to all the banks and financial service providers in SA who have been stealing us blind for the past few decades and blocking us at every turn.

This is going to help those of us who have been screwed by AA & BEE and who have to rely on our wits to actually make a living in SA. Web developers can now offer a turn-key solution for their clients in SA who can't afford the ridiculous fees associated with merchant banks.

This is a WINNER! Jump onboard now!

It's not a scam. I've been using them for over a year and my money earned online comes through via a Payoneer card which I can use at any ATM or POS swipe machine.

What's great about this is that from September we'll be able to bill in ZAR currency and 2CO will be able to remit directly into your SA bank account. Awesome news (especially for web developers who do e-commerce solutions for their clients).

Awesome! 2co is a major global player, not another SA company with empty promises. Modules for 2co integration exist for almost every shopping cart type software.

I'm using them on WHMCS and I have in the past used them on CubeCart. Works really well.

This has major implications for SA banks because they are now really going to have to play ball for the little guys. Why must we pay huge fees for merchant accounts, set up our own SSL Certs and then still pay commissions on turnover? With 2CO you only pay the 5.5% commission. Nothing else. Now with them rebating you the $49 sign-up fee to you on successful application, those fat cats in our banks are really going to have to pay attention.

Damn! This is really good news for e-commerce in SA!! I am thrilled that I can also set up an account with ZAR as the main currency.

So it's a $49 sign-up fee and then 5.5% and $.45 USD per sale and that's it?

2CO are now live with ZAR as an offered currency for pricing as well as direct wire EFT to SA sellers.

Buyers have to sign up with Setcom. Epic fail...

You don't have to sign up with 2CO to make a purchase with them.
