Ok, this custom firmware is making me dizzy.

You really need to kepp uptodate with this stuff, and i aint willing to do that.

So, my kiddo hasnt been able to play his new game yet, cause dad cant upgrade the custom firmware.

So, enough is enough, no more custom firmware. I've been searching as to how to remove the custom firmware, and i get know where.

I'm on 303oec. I want to remove this and just upgrade the firmware that came with the latest game i bought - (which is 352)

Can anyone help me. I cannot upgrade firmware to 352 cause the psp wont do it.

So how do i remove 303oec? Any suggestions.

if it makes you dizzy, why did you upgrade to custom in the first place?

the easiest way is going to be for you to make yourself a pandora battery and flash the 3.80 official firmware.

http://www.psp-hacks.com for more info.

if you really dont know what else to do, get someone else to do it for you.

where in SA are you? ill do it for you for free if you wish (CT)

Yeh, tired the pandoras box, but the bloody corrupt data appears in memory stick in stead of battery/installer. I'll keep looking/trying...

lol, its not called Pandora's box. but anyway.

if you are getting the corrupt message, then you must have it in the wrong folder. try psp/game150 or psp/game folder.

also. use UPMS Emerald Installer. its noob proof :)

Ya, still get corrupt data (fuuck, this is taking all day, lol - fuuck i'm an idiot, lol) lol

I'll try the emerald installer....

Ok, so i got this

PSP > GAME (and another folder, GAME150) > BATTERY > PANDORA BATTERY & PANDORA BATTERY% (AND THEN THE .pbp files insde. (ditto with installer file)

The only other thing i have is update.pbp which is located on the same page as PSP folder.

I love the kuk i've got myself in

im not being rude but have you read the instructions? :P

the game150 folder must NOT be in the game folder, but rather in the psp folder.

hence, in the psp folder, you will have the game folder and a game150 folder

if you format your memory stick within your psp, it should make those folders automatically.

try the emerald installer and let us know how you go.

P.S. dont forget to that you will need certain copies of firmware for the programs to downgrade/upgrade

pandora i think needs 1.50, 3.50 and 3.80. depending on which pandora you are using.

Ok, so i got the pandoras box thing sorted....sort of...

tutorial ..

Now it doesnt fully bootup. Keeps asking to downgrade/backup/or restore.

And so i downgrade then take the battery out, put it back in, and the same screen comes up again - downgrade/backup/or restore. lol

And so it goes....

if you have selected downgrade and it was successful, take out the battery, plug in your power adapter and switch it on.

if that now works, you must run the pandora again to change your battery back to a normal battery.
also format your memory stick when ure done.

if all went well, you can now boot with your battery in again, and you will be running the firmware you selected.

from the link you posted i see you chose to go back to firmware 1.5
from there you will still need to install a sony official firmware. ie 3.80.

just go to the sony psp website, download it and follow instructions.

this whole process of yours takes me 3 mins usually. you have spent the whole day working on this? hectic.

I didnt just spend the whole day doing the Panadora thing, i was googling heaps of stuff - anything to try and get my kiddos PSP out of 303oec. The Pandaora (from the link i gave) was actaully reasonably quick. It was the only place that descibed it well, the other 2 descriptions i had didtn work.

I must just say at around 6pm yesterday evening, i was very stressed - all from this freakin PSP.. lol

This is whats happening..

After a successful downgrade to 1.50

It says press X to restart, take out battery blah, blah...

I do this and put in the power plug, and it automatically restarts back to the downgrade screen again. It keeps doing this and doesnt seem to want to do anything else, and this is where i'm stuck. The only other options are the "to back up nand" and "to restore nand". I cant do anything else.

It goes automatically into Battery recovery mode everytime i reinsert the battery.

It doesnt/wont boot into normal psp screen thingee.

its very important that you take out the battery completely. then plug in the power adapter. then switch on the psp.

its impossible that it will come on automatically if there is not battery in. you should have to manually switch it on.

the reason the psp keeps going back to the downgrade menu is because the battery is activating the pandora on the memory card.

in fact, take out the memory card AND the battery. then plug in the power adapter. then switch it on manually.

Do you need any special batteries, mem stick to crack the psp, cos i just finished my game and i can't play any of the iso's i have on my pc :( ( i could send it in but dont have the time or money to have it done ). Also is it easily reversable cos i see boodles is having some real problems and i wouldnt want to brick my psp.
