How come BBC journalist Tom Dugan is saying it's the rebels with their chemical arsenal that was hit? He is based in Damascus.

I'm sure you've seen the famous newspaper headline containing OBL, talking about leading his afghan army on the road to peace, and praising him for his efforts.

I've seen WP and what seems like thermite used in Syria. Often times the thermite is too far dispersed to be an accurate weapon against human targets and in the videos of the target building there are cookoffs, I suspect they use the thermite munitions to target weapons depot's, make a nuisance cleaning up the little fires.

Also on the subject of WP, demonizing the SAA/RUAF for it's use when US affiliated/US forces used the "illumination" shells in broad daylight as little as 2 weeks ago is kinda hypocritic.

He could be biased. An unfriendly western reporter in Damascus doesn't stay long. I'd rather wait for investigations (that the US et al don't want strangely) before laying the blame.

No, Russia found every reason in the book to not provide the information requested for the investigation (radar data, flights plans, Air Force base inspection by UN investigators...).

Me.

The disposal of Saddam's chemical weapons was done by the French army so they knew perfectly what he had and didn't. There were long articles in the french newspapers at the time of why Saddam couldn't possibly have the weapons the US claimed. Which is why France vetoed at the UN.

That was not what the French president said at the time...

What is at stake is how to answer the potential threat Iraq represents with the risk of proliferation of WMD. Baghdad's regime did use such weapons in the past. Today, a number of evidences may lead to think that, over the past four years, in the absence of international inspectors, this country has continued armament programs.

That's what the army was saying, the president was probably trying to not go too frontal with the US.

I can't find anything that says the same. Even then flight plans and radar data would show that there were sorties over Khan Sheikoun just like there are every other day and on every other town of significance near the N.Hama front.

Despite this Trump acted as investigator, judge, jury and executioner within 3 days of the incident don't act like they wanted a true investigation.
