The Syrian Conflict Thread

It already has an interest charging central bank https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Bank_of_Syria

I didn't see Iraq getting one https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Bank_of_Iraq

Your obsession about central banks borders Goodson's books !
My bad about the interest charging.
As far I understand the Syrian central bank is a State owned bank, not private and independent.

From your Iraq wiki link:
After the 2003 invasion of Iraq and Saddam Hussein's downfall, the Central Bank of Iraq was established as Iraq's independent central bank by the Central Bank of Iraq Law 2004, with authorised capital of 100 billion dinars

Independent doesn't mean private.

Many institutions in SA are independent and yet public (Public Protector, NPA...).

I can't find anywhere the CBI being private, except looney links believing that central banks belong to the Rothschild...

Even though there is a real conspiracy regarding central banks. Isn't it more likely that the reason for the conflict is the more obvious oil or oil pipelines.

So Obama and Trump are now on the same line and covering the same lies ? Oh and now France is also on the same line than Trump.

That's a hell of a well hidden conspiracy !
Lay down the crack pipe, there is absolutely nothing new about the US's stance on Syria: aggressively anti-Assad. Foreign policy, especially the military kind, never changes depending on the president. France, like any other NATO member, is the US's bitch, so again, absolutely no surprise there.

To put you back history in context:

1) France wanted to attack Syria first; the US refused to support France and France could not go alone. Who's the bitch now ?
2) US and its allies have given up a few years ago their vows to take down Assad forcefully, and all agree that only a political solution is practicable;
3) Although they put a condition, if Assad attacks its population with chemical weapons, they will hit Assad (but never said take him out of power). Maybe Trump said it, I don't follow what he said and he says anything and its contrary anyway, but the allies are clear on this.

But for you, nothing is new, since you wear blinkers:

US: BAD BAD BAD
Europe: BAD BAD BAD allies of US
Russia: Good, reasonable and kind

France is LOL, you just admitted they could not act alone, so the US called the shots then as they do now, France = the bitch.

False statement, calls for Assad's removal have intensified lately, nobody has "given up".
3) Although they put a condition, if Assad attacks its population with chemical weapons, they will hit Assad
Which is advertising your next false flag to the world, like I already pointed out. They are cooking up an excuse to attack Assad and it is clear as day to anyone who hasn't been brainwashed yet.

But for you, nothing is new, since you wear blinkers:
Cute, why not just call me kettle and you the pot ...

US: BAD BAD BAD
Judging by their actions of incessant "regime change" and empire building, yes, unambiguously bad most of the time.
Europe: BAD BAD BAD allies of US
LOL nope, the EU structure is "BAD BAD BAD", their foreign and military actions are just those the US tells them to take, making them bitches (or lapdogs if you prefer) ;)
Russia: Good, reasonable and kind
False again, Russia is just Russia, unashamedly nationalistic, unapologetically powerful and noone's bitch. There's nothing inherently good or bad about them, they deserve to be treated with due respect however, which simply is not happening and puts the world on a dangerous path.

Only Russia and the US can act alone... None of them seems to be solving the issue while both are acting though...

Calls to step down, not to be removed militarily. That's a political solution, exactly as I said.

Trump will probably have to go alone if Assad is to be removed forcefully, and face Russia. EU countries are definitely not in to piss off Russia and follow blindly the US, even U.K. these days.

I don't understand, what do they need a false flag for? They have been attacking Assad already what do they need an excuse now for?

You don't get how the American populace is massaged into aggressive foreign policy postures, huh?

Explain to me why you think USA is meddling in Syria. Can't be a human rights issue because if they cared about human rights Israel would've been turned into a glass desert by now (just look at so many UN reports sighting Israel as the worst human rights offender).

My personal take on it is that Syria said no thanks to the Qatar/Saudi/Syria gas pipeline deal because it would hurt Russia's geopolitical position to do so. If Syria plays ball with Russia and Iran, then Russia gets to keep its gas stranglehold on Europe and that means Europe can't afford to go to war with Russia without a bunch of frozen peasants murdering a bunch of Brussels bureaucrats. It's rather obvious why this would be regarded as an intolerable threat to American foreign policy interests.

When was the deal proposed and when was it declined? And for what reasons?

Don't take this as argumentative, but it's better to follow the rules and not just drop links.

Not everyone wants to follow every link posted, half of them lead to BS...

Syria-- Reporting from the front

SO
I went and looked for the Syria thread -- ten pages back without success
Does anyone remember watching all the desert storms on TV
and
The rest of the Iraq and Afghanistan clips ?

See if this looks familiar -- but -- yet different

Glad that they put in the English sub-titles -- interesting to see and compare the Russian experience

I see the propaganda is in full swing
Just watched a new Syria documentary on 5 years of the war on sun dance tv and Isil is only responsible for 15 % of the carnage
According to Syrians in Aleppo if one can believe --while the rest of the atrocities have been committed by the Indiscriminate Russian bombing and the Government forces of Assad
