The Tattoo Thread

Hi all,

Need some recommendations for CT. I am looking for someone who can:

-Do detailed fine line tattoos (looking to do roses)
-Do blackout tattoos

Know of anyone?

By far the best place for that style in CT is Descriptive Arts Collective:

And specifically Kayla Devlin:

But any of them there are top top top quality fine line specialists. Good luck getting an appointment and better start saving up though.. haha

Update on my tattoos:
Finished the color on my elbow rose last Wednesday... very very very very happy with it!
It was so difficult to get a decent picture of it cause of swelling and awkward lighting and general eina but here is the best we could do:

Will get better picks taken when it is healed but I assure you that does not do it justice... the saturation is much better in real life.

Then because I went full retard decided on spur of the moment on Friday to get this guy on my leg cause why the hell not:

Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.

Ok so next chapter in the random sleeve project is done! This concludes the American Traditional lower sleeve. Next up is another transition piece in the ditch (eish!) and then we can move on to full-on Neo-Traditional on the upper sleeve.

Yassis it is very hard to get a decent photo of it cause it wraps right around me...

Next chapter in the Traditional vs Neo-Traditional Sleeve Project:
Tiger with a Rose Flail done in the ditch of my arm. I DO NOT RECOMMEND any other human do this, the pain was just... breathtaking. Took 6.5 hours, eina. However, so rad haha

This was the last one to include American Traditional elements and acts as the final transition piece. Going full on Neo-Traditional from here up. Can't wait. Booked for October to start doing the shoulder.

@AlmightyBender very interesting. What are American elements? Also I cannot figure it out?
Good question.. so it's mostly in the design of the flail, rose and leaves. Leaves are fully AT, rose is drawn AT but shaded NT. The artist wanted it to be as subtle as possible.

NT elements are the tiger, more varied line weights and very liberal use of white highlights. Also the design doesn't follow traditional "rules" of placement and orientation e.g. the tiger "should" be facing towards my body instead of away from it.

Wow. Looks great! How long does it take to ‘heal’ between sets - if you’re doing a sleeve?
I take two weeks to heal fully generally, but I do sessions one month apart at minimum because of... um... financial contained constraints haha. It could be done in 4-5 days if I had the money and the pain tolerance.

I forgot about this thread - got some more tattoos from last I posted.

But here is my back tattoo so long.

If you watched Cyberpunk Edgerunners - where David gets his back cyber implant installed by the ripperdoc - that's how it feels
