The ToC that will completely and utterly destory everything 8ta worked for?

If you have an internet promo 5 currently or you take out an internet promo 5 before the 31st of March you will pay R199 a month for 24 months from your activation of the contract. You are contracted to 8ta for 24 months - cancelling before the end of this period will result in penalty fees.

At 31 March the only thing that will change is that the internet promo 5 @ R199 won't be for sale any longer.

You must speak to 8ta 30 days of 40 work days (not too sure which it is) before the end of the 24 months to arrange cancelling of the contract so it stops at the end of the 24th month - no penalty.

f you don't arrange in advance as above, after 24 months the contract will switch to a month to month contract and be billed at internet promo 6 - i.e. R1200 a month. At this stage you probably need to give 30 days notice to cancel.

The networks are entitled to be very strict with the number of days (even if you're one day late it will be "too late") as it is a contract and you are legally bound by the terms to the letter. And also be careful in counting the number of days - work days etc. However, they might be nice and give you a few days leeway but don't assume this. Rather just give it a few extra days to be safe.

well they say a months notice, so i will give it in June as the contract finishes in July. 8ta ha preformed well for me with the more than occasional hiccup. But it looks like i will rather get uncapped ADSL for the future as i want better stability with my latency for gaming.

so the way i understand this is we will still pay R199 for 10gb once the contract is finished.

Hi all

As mentioned in the thread 8ta Billing FAQs (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/419082-8ta-Billing-FAQ)

After 24 months, the contract will go into a month to month contract.

The monthly instalment will stay the same.

We do not have a committed end date for the Internet 5 Promo.

If you experience any billing problems, please PM us or email [email protected].

Thank you
8ta Social Media Team
