Bugatti vs McLaren F1

This was one of the best episodes I watched, It was always on my mind on which of those two cars would win..

At last their is a thread dedicated to TopGear :)
 
I LOL'd hard at 'Schumacer's lap in a reasonably priced car.

If someone said to me you could have any one of those two cars for free I would pick the McLaren F1 without batting an eyelid.
 
Naaah, Bugatti for me. The McLaren is absolutely awesome, but it WILL kill you. The Bug is like a 400km/h Lazyboy chair - I can live with that.

Exactly, thats why I would rather have the F1.

The Bugatti is one grosse piece of german showoff engineering, ugly and heavy to boot.

And what a wonderful piece of engineering it is. Arguably a better achievement than the Mclaren F1, IMO. :D

Keep in mind the F1 is 17yrs old already and it still kicks the grosse veyrons butt in the 1/4mile. It's still also the fastest naturally aspirated car out there.

Did you miss the part when they showed off the German engineering powering the ugly purple thing?
 
I heard for the price of the Bugatti you can buy every model that Merc makes? Is this true?

Its only R15 000 000 not gonna try and calculate though...
Its the same as a Pagani Zonda F, Koeniggsegg and Carerra GT, if you search my threads theres a R30 million car somewhere the CCXR!!

Maybe a fleet of the non-sport models. The SLR 722 goes for about 500,000USD the last time I checked.
 
I saw a Veyron on that stretch of road between Upington and Namibia where they test the cars. Was awesome. I would take the Veyron without a doubt

One was sighted in Cape Town a while back, there were pictures posted on the (now inept) CarToday forum. Most surprising thing was it's size, compared to the Conquest parked next to it it looked tiny considering the amount of engine it has.
 
What about the race between the SLR and the Lambo...
That was just awesome!
I'd do anything to be Richard Hammond for a day :D
