Finally someone agrees with me. The only reason other countries have cheaper prices and uncapped accounts is because the infrustructure is there already. I would like someone to just go check records of when the companies started out in the other countries, weight that with the currency value at that time. I almost guarentee you will find the same thing happening there then as we are experincing here now. I'm sorry if I offended your little egos, but face the truth. WE ARE A CHEAP COUNTRY!!! We expect everything for free, F@#$ the conciquinces. THESE THINGS COST MONEY PEOPLE!!!!!

I guess some ppl just dont get it do they? This is why we need to get the information out to the ppl, because if everyone thinks like this, we will get no where!
 
Common sense isn't as common as it's made out to be, quite unfortunately.

I agree with sBurrell that we are a 3rd world country and we cant expect to have the pricing and infrastructure of a developed 1st world country, but i dont agree that we expect to get things for free.....

what we do expect is for telkom to acknowledge that we are a 3rd world country and that they as the sole telecoms provider in this country need to be doing more for the Telecoms and broadband infrastructure in this country. Because at the moment it doesnt look like telcom really care about where the country is going in terms of broadband access, in stead they are just milking us for as long as possible and for as much as possible.

Yes there are price reductions but then they come with stories of stopping ADSL rollout and per gig billing? His this contributing to growing South africas broad band infrastructure? Come now telkom, wake up and take some responsibilty, make South africa proud to have u as our telecoms provider.

sburrell was actually pointing out how misinformed those ppl in the quoted text are - and how important it is for MyADSL to educate them as to the reality of the situation.

As far as what you said goes - we pretty much do have the infrastructure as far as technology goes - the only impediment is telkom itself and the position of tyranny they are allowed to occupy.
 
Ye i was pointing out that we do have the infestructure its just telkom dosnt want to use the full capcity of this network because running them at lower cap earns then mor $
