Blizzard has fooled everyone by making the worlds hardest game.

They lead us all to believe that the primary challenge for the game was to kill Diablo, when in fact that is the secondary challenge, the primary challenge happens to be logging in.
This challenge has proven to be the most difficult yet, a challenge that more powerful than any skills or experience you may have.

Not being deliberately provocative here, but I would blame your ISP now. I'm on Afrihost uncapped, and before that AxxessLite capped, and the only connection issues I've had were the evening of the 15th and an emergency repair on the following Saturday. One of my friends has been on without issues with MWeb uncapped.

Hope you get it sorted out as it is a great game once you get playing.

Last 2 days they been having loada of problems. Almost 600 pages on the forums, was fixed bout n hour ago. Blizzards in trpuble though, in Korea the Trade Commission Berau (sure thats spelt wrong) has received thousands of complains regarding server issues, especially this error 37 and are considering ordering blizzard to allow refunds for physical and digital purchases if problems are not resolved soon.

When its an error 37 the isp has nothing to do with it.

Are you for real? Please have a look at the official Forums and you will see this is not an ISP issue LOL

I'm on AfriHost Capped, and I haven't had a single issue, other than THAT Sunday....
Haven't had slow logins, haven't had disconnects, nothing...

Not saying it is an ISP issue, not saying it's not,...

Looking at post counts to join dates I can be confident that most posters in this thread are infact gamers and also that Lycanthrope is not a gamer by his high post count.:D a bit of useless info but I'm bored only getting my books this weekend.

Thousands of people around the world are having the same problems yet it must be MY ISP? I like your logic there...

Relax, he's statement was ill-informed, its a logical recourse for South Africans to put primary blame on the local ISP's as more often than not they are the cause.
This is mostly why I stick with Mweb, they actually like gamers and are very happy to prioritize gaming traffic.

Now as an update:

The Error 37 eventually went away and then I ended up stuck in the patch loop that has been affecting some users, putting it here just n case anyone else runs into this problem.

Got an installer from 1 friend and a guest pass from another, not realizing it actually made a difference I happily kept my installed game from the US version, turns out news and updates are actually tied into the installers region and not the server you are playing on.

Basically my game updated to 1.2a about 6 or so hours before EU did the server update so my game had the wrong version and the error that gets reported is I need to install an update patch, fix is to actually uninstall and then re-install using an installer for the server region you will be playing in so that you download the correct patches at the correct time.

As far as I know the EU servers were off till about 8am today so should be able to resume play this afternoon.

Hear hear.

The next person to tell me it's my ISP :

I honestly cannot recall a game that has been so monumentally fraught with problems for 2 weeks after the launch.

Whahahaha, brilliant.
