The "Upgrade"?

Hello!

I know everybody has been talking about this for a while now. I think its time for an update. Has anybody upgraded their 192kbps lines to 384kbps pending 1 August?

If you make this upgrade, i think they charge you R70 more on the DSL384 for July.

Do you guys think its worth the R70 for one month to make sure you have DSL384 come 1 Aug.

Second question is that if any body has phoned them, how long does it take to complete the speed change?

The speed change normally takes 24-48 hours. I upgraded my line recently and it took 24 hours. I don't think it's worth the R70 to upgrade early. People are just paranoid. I suggest phoning them on the 1st of August if you notice no upgrade has been done and start yelling

Does web-africa's standard non-prepaid 3gb acc which you're referring to also have "bandwidth rollover"?

Back on topic, I would upgrade now and play it safe, I know I might be paranoid, but with Telkom you never know.

Yip, upgraded 2 days after the announcement. It took 24hrs.

Me waiting for after august 1st or rather when the billing period ends for July(ours is like 2nd week) just incase.. but then again.. ag I'll call em come august 1st.
