The Walking Dead [SPOILERS]

This season thus far has been utterly b-grade. I once cared about who lived and died in this show, but honestly, with the way the show and story, and the way the story is told, has changed, I find myself not even caring if Rick died right now.

In the dump, small things irritated me. The horrible CGI when the walkers were chopped up by the shredder. The horrible 80's face zoom-in camera effects to signify suspense. The 1960's cowboy western cartoon sound Rick's gun made when he fired. Then there is the passionless manner in which Enid was just allowed to leave the way she did. The stories just quickly fizzle out now without any real development, where older seasons would build real suspense with real stories over many episodes. Everything feels like nothing now.

My only hope for this series is knowing that season 9 will have a new showrunner.

Agreed.

For me also is that with mid season breaks its easy to lose track of things. Felt myself trying to remember the Enid stuff. Then im like meh, screw it.

And that terrible CGI, i cant agree more. Cheap and nasty
 
I was a big fan of this show. Stopped watching 10 minutes into S08E01 when Rick didin't kill Negan and all his cronies during the opening scene. It would have taken 10 seconds while they were lined up on that balcony or whatever....but they waffled and talked kuk for 5 minutes before the shootout started. After that I realized this show is finally going absolutely nowhere.

From what I'm reading above it sounds like I made the right decision...

What are the other options?

That he gets friendzoned to death or he accidentally gets strangled by his own hair.

Already took a bullet and lost an eye so this was done and dusted pretty neatly.

Agree, very intense and glad it was included.
 
811. Fairly busy episode. Lots going on. Highlights for me was the Negan & Eugene plan B attack. Some pretty good acting by Gabriel. Daryl leading his troops. Zero Rick & Co in this episode.

Interesting enough, no Rick, yet this episode felt more like good 'ol Walking Dead. Maybe he should just go?
 
I'm a very patient person and loyal TWD watcher, until the last couple of episodes - its getting tiresome. The main cast are just walking dead in the brush ad-nauseum now. Agreed, needs to end.
 
I found that today's episode was pretty good.
Felt like that season 1 type of episode where they made you sit on edge
 
Guys I didn't watch last night's/today's epi as yet & therefore can't give my 2c opinion. I'll watch it in the morrow & revert back with my findings.
 
still can't figure why the same people keep bitching week in and week out ...... sado much :D
