808. Mid-Season Finale & a damn good one at that. So good in fact that it could actually be a Season Finale!

Tons & tons going on this episode. Plot lines converging nicely. Some intense scenes & some really great tense moments. Pace & tone is spot on. The (short) combat scene with Rick v Negan was a solid watch as well.

Lastly the shock at the very end was totally unexpected. Shame...

Top marks from me. Watch it slowly & in detail. It’s properly good.

How does a new faction not hear the bombs and gunfights? (the crew at the distillery)

Other than that, I loved how Negan lost his mind when Rick picked up Lucille.

Can we speak about the "shock" twist yet? It would seem things behind the scenes were the reason for what happened. TWD has been marred with unnecessary meddling with the story by showrunners since the show's inception. This one might be the nail in the coffin.

Overall, s08 part 1 was The Walking Dead's absolute lowest point. It had the lowest ratings by far, and viewer numbers have dropped drastically. The cast is no longer cheap. If they don't turn this crap around quickly TWD will end sooner than expected.
