Damn I think I became addicted to lvl'ng now :D
I have now planned to make one of each class on the current realm we're on (Spinebreaker)

I have:

Rogue - 70
Shaman just hit outlands - 58
Warlock - 34

Being said, I have a warrior which I started to Play WoW with. Problem is, it's the wrong faction, wrong server and and and.

I will now be re doing a Warrior again. I think they are great at lvl'ng as if they are spec'd correctly and have the correct gear at each lvl they have no downtime and run thru mobs like a train.

My question would be this:

If I have the best gear per lvl and the enchants to go with it, what do you think my play time would be from lvl 1 - 70 lvl'ng as protection spec ?

Also feel free to use this thread for anything Warrior related :).

*btw My shaman is my priority to get to 70, just have the warrior now for the odd day I feel like taking a break from hard leveling :o

Got the Shaman to lvl 58 in just under 6 days played time :p
 
You want to kill things as prot :o thats as nuts as me levelling as a holy priest.

If I duel either of our mt's when they are specced prot and I am specced as healer, i tend to win due to self heals and fear...

Should be about 7 days played per toon to 70 though

I have noticed on my other Warrior :o that the damage done while duel wielding in Protection Spec is rather insane ;)
 
Pitbull at what level did you moved your old warrior to Prot for leveling? If I would guess it would be after you had sufficient points for protection to get 1 Hand weap specialization and/or devastate? After you get those two tallent points prot warrriors does some real decent damage. But till then Fury or Arms would level much faster. Tbh I love leveling as a arms warrior, just get a real big 2h weapon put the best enchant on it and go and destroy the world.

Old warrior is 62.

Anyway, I'm planning on going 1h+shield from lvl 1 - 70 :D I know I'm going to regret my choice :D But it will be fun to say the least :)
 
Challenging yes, but i think it gives real insight into the play style. I was fortunate as I have said before a guildy levelled 1-70 with me as shadow....

If you ever want to see a longwinded fight, try 2 pallies vs 2 priests :P

I think If I have the correct gear for ever level and nice enchants (From my rogue main) I will be able to mow down Camp after camp without any down time if my Armour is up high enough, with a crusader enchant on the sword or even Lifestealing, I should be able to mow thru the quests at a rather quick pace.

I think People are having a problem and hard time leveling as they try and do single pulls like with any other class. I have no idea if this will work, but I think I'll be able to take down 5 non elites per pull on my own. Will also be doing Herb and Alch as professions. Pots might help a little too :p

Mana burn and mass dispell, my money are on the priests :D
 
would it not be wise to roll an attacking warrior from 1-60 then swapping over to armor/etc. ... not sure what you call the specific talent trees.

If you really want to be a solid tank, would a pally not be a better choice?

I have a pally aptly named "Baksteen" :D The fact that warriors can duel wield like rogues should be capitalized imho. You're wearing mail/plate already - dont worry with a shield for now.

Just my 2c worth.
 
I have also just started a warrior, except he is a gnome for the lulz :) Playing with a mate who rolled a lock, so leveling should not be a problem at all...

Is DW prot viable for leveling?

Lvling as holy is not that bad doing so atm.
Just need spirit tap and improved wanding=never oom :)
 
Im not enjoying 2h leveling on my warrior, reckon its back to dual wield missing :p
 
I lvl my Dwarf prot tank only on weekends with a friend thats a priest.Jump from instance too instance

And we dont wipe...
