the weirdest thing

did anyone have a problem where the keyboard drivers dont load up at start up with xp.
To fix it i have to uninstall keyboard and search hardware changers then it finds the keyboard again and it works,,from 10 reboots of xp the keyboard will work 6/10.....

Any suggestions for me...firstly could it be the new motherboard i have or is the kboard going.i mean its 4 years old(its my fav and worn out already)

Is it a ps2 or USB keyboard?

A bios problem can prevent a USB keyboard from being detected.

or windows registry problem
run anti-virus/spyware/malware/adware/any other wares that may altar ur reg

I hve seen this on an IBM thinkpad - mainboard drivers and bios upgrade collectively solved the hassle.
It wasn't just the kb but USB flash drives, etc. Anything USB related in fact.

If it's USB you need to enable USB legacy keyboard and mouse support in the bios.
