I had 2 4mbps lines installed at the office and connected them to 2 different routers. When I try and download at full speed on both one of them goes to around 350kbps and the other stays around 25kbps.
After logging 3 calls with Telkom I finally get a gentleman called John who popped in and trouble shot the problem with ease.
It turns out that the E1 from the UMC in Lagoon Beach to the Exchange in Milnerton is oversubscribed so they have applied for another 3x8mbps fiber links between the 2 as there was only 1.
So, just in case anyone here ever has a problem when it seams like their ADSL is under performing radically or they get a second connection and it seems to be fighting for bandwidth with the other line this is most probably the issue.
This ****up is going to take 3 to 4 weeks to rectify so my bonded 2x4mbps ADSL lines with TechConcepts is going to have to wait a little while longer.
