There is unfortunately no such thing as a "stable version for the Samsung [put model in here]". Gravity box has 2 versions - JB and KK. The OP of the thread in XDA states clearly that other roms/firmware is not supported. It is designed for the Nexus range of phones with stock Android on it. Some GPE version phones (Samsung included) runs GB very well. I am running GB on my Nexus 5 without a glitch, but on my S5, I can use only certain features successfully.

So the bottom line is this - Install GB and use the functions that actually work and don't complain to the dev if something doesn't. I am quite happy with the functions GB offer for the S5. It runs stable on my phones

If you want something similar to GravityBox but for Samsung devices, try WanamKit.
 
Another module I've found- DS Battery Saver. basically puts your phone into deep sleep as soon as the screen goes off, which should improve standby time greatly. Will see what sort of improvements it gives.

So do all the others. The only apparent difference between this and the gazillion other options on the market, is this one is an exposed module.
Based on its description, it does what all the rest do. Your phone natively goes into deep sleep within a few minutes of the screen going off, as of kitkat wifi goes into lower power mode during screen off, mobile data is already not being used and any app using the push network is inactive and not using battery anyway.
The only thing this app is offering over kitkat is wifi off when screen off, which is a system option anyway.

Use greenify, that way you will have something that actually works. Instead of crippling the phone it suspends the app itself, much like freezing it. So from a background process perspective the app does not exist, therefore it cannot consume any resources. Recent updates have allowed the support for trust GCM push apps to be greenified without impacting notifications. Any greenified app only runs when you action it or it gets a valid push notification, neither the OS or any other app can trigger it once its greenified under any other circumstances.

Phone will also go into deep sleep sooner with problem apps being killed on scree off.

I am using Greenify. This app seems to integrate with Greenify directly when it detects it also installed.

FWIW- XDA featured it in their Xposed Tuesday's review. It is a bit better than some other modules, so might be of some use to users of lower-spec or Samsung devices.
 
Another module that will be of use to Google Keep users: Keep Trash.

It's a simple one- it adds a delete button button to the menu of Google Keep. No longer do you need to select the note, press the three-dot button and select delete. I do use Keep quite a lot so I find value in it.

Awesome. Thanks. I'm beginning to find keep better for quick notes that evernote.
 
A word of warning with the tinted translucent status bar module. For some reason it would do weird UI stuff with Facebook's image viewer, BBM messenger and gravity box settings. Things like "overlapping" the 3 dot menu overflow etc. So just be selective with the settings you apply the the database. It does look good though in chrome and stuff.
