So I ordered some hardware at Rectron middle of January (+-R62k) which included, among other things 2x desktop computers built to my specifications, including 2x4 gig ram modules. When the hardware arrived and I wanted to set up the first of the computer I found that it only had 4 gigs of memory installed, I opened the case to only find 1 of the 2 memory modules which I paid for installed in the computer (I did check the invoice again). I checked the other box and that had both of the 4 gig modules installed.
I spoke to someone at Rectron who told me that they have cameras and they will check whether the memory was installed in the computer. I was unable to get an answer for some time about that happened, until the sales consultant eventually told me that they checked the cameras and the memory was installed in the computer, which upset me as I was the one that opened the sealed box, unpacked the computer and the computer never left my sight, which means that the memory was either never installed, installed in the wrong computer or was stolen. I contacted the sales consultant which did the order for me and she requested that I send her an email with the details of my issue, in which I also requested to see the video footage. To this day, almost a month later I have not received any feedback at all from Rectron.
I realise that I may be a very small client for them but I feel that this is insanely bad service from a reputable dealer, I don't have the time or energy to really fight this (especially since it was a very small and relatively inexpensive item that went missing) but I would like to know if anyone else experienced any similar issues?
I have never experienced any issues like this before from Rectron, but I feel that this is a pretty serious allegation which it seems like everyone is just ignoring. I buy R200-300k worth of hardware in a year and I just don't feel comfortable using Rectron anymore.
