Mr Themba Dlamini is the former DDG: Corporate Services and Governance at the Department of Science and Technology. Previously worked as a Special Advisor to Minister of Labour, Freelance Consultant of Abenguni Consulting Services, Chief Director- Corporate Services: Dept of Health, CEO of Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) and Manager- Regulatory Affairs at Telkom.
He obtained his MA in Development Economics at William College, Massachusetts in the USA, Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting) at Northern Virginia Community College, Virginia USA and BA in Economic (Honours) at Howard College, Washington DC, USA.
Mr Dlamini has done extensive Desktop Research, Field Work Research as well as Academic Research in South Africa: Creating a Competitive Edge including researching and formulating Interconnection Policy during his time with Telkom. Participated on behalf of Telkom in a Consumer Advisory Group of (SATRA) ICASA focusing on telecommunication service for people with special needs (Disabled people, the deaf, blind, illiterate, wheelchair users and the aged).
He is also a specialist in the field of Economics, Skills and Human Capital. During his time as Special Adviser to the Minister of Labour he provided political and strategic advice to the Minister on his involvement with other relevant Government departments with respect to Presidential and/or Governmental high priority programmes.
He is currently CEO of ICASA.
