Since iBurst wiped out and replaced my correct usage with incorrect one, throttled me, took my complaint and topped my account up with 1 GB - I find myself throttled again
The iBurst rep and their bandwidth monitor say I have about 950mb left from the top up given to me, but have a look at the speed test

download speed 0.06 Mbps upload: 0.22 Mbps

If I were not capped and had, instead speed problems (miraculously appearing in the last 5 days) how is it possible that the upload speed is times higher than the download speed?

I give up trying to understand the logic of what goes on and what the rules are.

You are capped by the looks of that speed test.

this is my contention as well, however Gcebile simply responds "You have XXX mb of bandwidth" ... fullstop ... 6th day of this ... I have asked for the cancellation forms and have not received them either

I was also topped up but I had to restart my modem to obviously start using this (which I'm assuming you've done?)

Good point.
In the past when there were issues with users getting capped by mistake (No this is not something new...) we had to restart our modems.

I know Shaun recommended switching it off for at least 10 minutes but on one occasion I had to leave it off for 20 minutes to get it to work.

May be worth a try if you have not yet done so.

To get a new IP address. You could also connect-disconnect until you get an authentication error, then switch off and wait 10min or so then reconnect. I think it connects at a different IP address.

yeah if you got capped, THEN topped up, and didn't switch off your modem for at least a few minutes, then that would explain your problem. you need to get a new, unthrottled IP address, which you can only do by switching the modem off for a while. try 10 minutes

Hi, thanks to all for this suggestion. It did work.

Gcebile, perhaps you could have offered this advice instead of sending me a statement on my balance.

Thanks, perhaps someone should make this a sticky

EDIT: The form states: "Cancellations are subject to a once off administration fee" ... Does anyone know how much is this fee. Just for the record. As far as I am concerned (no pun) iBurst is in breach of contract and I owe them no cancellation fee!

We didn't pay any administration fee, was cancelled through atlantic and not directly from Iburst though.
