There's a Massive Security Vulnerability in the New macOS

yea i just saw i got a notification when i started my mac this morning saying that a security patch has been installed, it was installed automatically without my intervention. This MASSIVE (@Lord Farquart  ) vulnerability has been fixed which is impressive on Apples side.
Oh no, now we are going to get the trolls in here explaining how MacOS is no better than Windows for simply installing software updates automatically.

with stuff like this i have no issue with it being installed, because u will get those people that never install the patches and makes their mac vulnerable so this sort of stuff i have no issue them automatically installing, its OS updates etc that i cannot deal with them auto installing because even on a mac, the boot time to restart after an install is long and if you are working then get told to restart out of the blue is annoy as hell!

Why are you impressed. They screwed up, period. Microsoft also screws up and then fixes it, but people are not impressed by it. Why should Apple be lauded for releasing with such a MASSIVE vulnerability. Don't think Microsoft ever left a barn door like this open.

im impressed in the time of the release for the fix, listen im not a fan boi for any brand, i saw the news article yesterday and today its fixed (thats what i am impressed about), now i am not clued up with Microsoft's time frames when it comes to fixing patches like this and if it is anything like this then i will be impressed about windows fixes as well, its just i havent my self experienced this quick fix time frames with MS

You know that they were aware of this patch since the 13th of November right?
Also, this new patch broke File Sharing which had to be fixed as well now - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208317

Look at how many IOS releases have been done already since September, all of them bugfixes. Apple is ****ing up - and as you don't work for them or don't own any shares in them there is really no need to defend them.

You mean...like....booting to XP and hitting ESCAPE to log in?
