Thermaltake PSU

Going for the old 'swat a fly with a Buick' prize are we incubate? Dude, that's 520W of good name brand (and so reasonably likely to be real); you're going to have to REALLY load up a box to break that ..and that means many HDDs in there, as well as throwing in every high power device you can buy ..which, these days, really only amounts to the very top end of the video cards - and then only when you're gaming.

Case in point: my bud (the one where I spend nearly time 'cos all the nice toys are here!) has an ASUS A8N-SLI-Pro with a dual core AMD64 4400, dual 6600GT's, two Raptors and some arb. other drive inside. He's not a gamer and has 4 LCD's connected to those cards (that 4-screen desktop is something to see) and the 400W Codegen PSU he's got in there never does anything more than idle ..but would be up to the task if we gave it a go. (hmm, maybe I should install a game on there 'n give it a try!)

Hehe you think it's too much bdt?

Well I more want to get it because the design is really cool that you can connect cleanly and close by. I also really dig that small power box for extra fans if you need them.

*splutter* .."too much"??! Dude, there ain't NO such thing! Actually, there is: "too much" can be defined as "that part or pricepoint you cannot reasonably afford" ..right up until that point, it's a perfectly reasonable and legitimate purchase! That said, is there anything I can interest you in? ..I deliver you know, with a smile! :D (paying customers are amongst my very favourite kind of people!)

Oh, in the other PSU thread currently underway, Antec is doing rather well in terms of popularity, while AOpen seems to be getting the guys hot under their collars. Good as the Antecs are, I'm seeing a distressing lack of (nice and quiet (I've got a Centrino notebook, I LIKE quiet PCs!) 12cm fan-age, much less any of the slick tricks the Tt has ..but taste is a matter of, well ..taste!
