Would need to happen within short instances of each other but if there's still an egg laying around it can be fertilised while she's already pregnant.
 
Remember watching a documentary on mixed race twins where one has white skin and the other dark skin. BBC, I think.

According to my comparison the girls do not look alike regardless of race. They may be twins but they are not identical.
 
I don't get why people are surprised.
They can have two different dads, an egg doesn't just hang around for one day. And sometimes women ovulate two eggs a few days apart.
And they can be faternal twins. If you can have a boy and a girl twin why not two off diffrent skin tones.
 
I dream of the day this would happen in South Africa. One would be previously disadvantaged, the other would not.

Must suck to be discriminated against just because of how she looks and the other sister wont have to go through it... Sad life for gingers :D

I've wondered how this works in SA. If one of your parents are white and the other black does that mean you can have it both ways? :)
 
the darker sister is absolutely stunning. the red head, not so much. just saying.
