Eish. And nowadays we use the magic reboot to fix problems

this isnt always a good thing in my view, means the device has not been patched in a very very long time.
Sure, its just a switch in this case, but even so, there are likely security and other bugs discovered which should have been attended to.
But at least the PSU's were solid!

many patches can be applied without a reboot.

Lol. I once remoted into a production Linux Server on a mine in Morocco, applied some patches, and then ran uptime just out of habit. Got on the phone with the mine manager, and asked him very nicely if I could reboot the server during the next shift change . It had been running for 3 years, 5 months.

Yes they do still make them like that, well, actually they make them better

Anything Cisco never has to be rebooted, unless image upgrade, it always just works

But that switch being on that older firmware version is quite alarming to be honest
Any idea what they replaced them with?
