When it comes to smartphones from Nokia a major issue for some has been the UI look, feel and flow you got from Symbian Series60. Well all that is set to change with the Feature Pack 2 flavour of the worlds smartest smartphone OS.

While getting a few things wrong (like no wifi and that keypad) the new Nokia 6220 Classic has all the goodies one could wish for including this new user interface.

The compete review is over at GSM arena : http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6220_classic-review-281.php

The User Interface part is at the botton of this page http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6220_classic-review-281p3.php and I cannot wait for them to release this for the N82. That new task manager (yes this is a true smartphone that can multitask) is one of the improvements I am looking forward to.

The E71 is a business phone while the 6xxx range is the classic mobile phone range. You might find the E71 more suitable as a business tool but if you need a good allrounder then the 6220 is the one for you.

Some more misinformation from you. Nokia NEVER upgrades the FP versions of devices via firmware upgrades. Therefore the N82 is FP1 and it will stay FP1. The first N series phone that is FP2 is the N96.

The E71 still has feature pack 1, and I suspect it'll cost more. The 6220 seems pretty good for it's price (expect the keypad).

Sorry Rouxenator, I can't resist....do your folks work for Nokio SA? :)

Actually that would be the N78....

colin - true that - but the 96 was announced long before the 78 as the first fp2 n series phone.

The dumbass is you, and to top it off you're a dumbass who don't read so good.

The n81 got the menu TRANSITIONS, which is very far from having FP2 - it's more of a flashy theme.

Thanks for playing.

Is says "He found a video showing the Nokia N81 with menu transitions just like the Nokia N78 and upcoming Feature Pack 2 phones. There are so many questions to be asked here...

First off will the Nokia N82 receive a similar update to allow for FP2 transitions?

Does this mean that the N81 has Feature Pack 2, or is it still Feature Pack 1 but just with new transitions?"

As you can see it is an open question - there is no proof that it is FP2 or just the transitions - neither that it is not FP2.

So what does this establish then? Well, to begin with, it puts your statement of "Nokia NEVER upgrades the FP versions of devices via firmware upgrades" in doubt. Now using this doubt factor along with your offensive attitude it is very easy to label you with a whole range of short, powerful and very colourful terms :p

C'mon Vlad - don't be Bad.

Have you ever seen an updated n81? I have, and i can assure you it has NO fp2 elements, even the menus are not the same as in fp2.

The v30 for n82 doesn't even have transitions so that puts paid to that "theory".

The site you quote, btw, is a blog, which is far from any authoritative or reliable source. Just like stuff you post here.

Ummmmm.... That link just said that the N81 had the FP2 transitions. At least two things were still unanswered - is it full FP2 or just the screen transitions and will the N82 also get them. Hardly proves the case....
Quite true. But it also does not disproof it....

When you're in a hole, stop digging.

You offered that blog as proof, and called Vlad a dumbass, then you got upset when he replied in kind, refuting your 'proof'. I don't mind a bit of 'robust' debate, in fact I relish it, but when you're caught out, either apologise or shut up. People who dish it out, and then can't take it when it comes back at them annoy me.
