What about when the "Christians" burnt the witches, or the KKK hanged/hang black people in the US. What about in the bible where they stoned people?

Mobs appear everywhere. Sick, sad and disgusting but true.

And those from the middle ages etc were a real different time when the churches still enforced the law. These people are just barbarians no matter white or black enforcing mob justice in this "digital" age.

Mob behaviour in the digital age. Interesting concept. I actually think (now that I have given it more thought) that like most things in Western civilisations, this has also simply evolved. In a world crazed by celebrity following and politicians becoming new age rock stars where everything revolves around money, how different is the internet community with its disdainful rhetoric and abhorrent critique from a mob? In our society one needs only see that the New Age has given a perfect platform to evolve from momentarily insane mobs into organised organisations capable of mobilising anything from riots to terrorism. Is the face of mob justice changing? Are we becoming single cells of an organised structure capable of insanity? One look at www.friendsofjz.co.za and this does not look like such a remote theory.
