Beach front copshop robbed for service pistols:

At least 15 South African Police Services (SAPS) guns have been stolen after a gang of robbers brazenly attacked and robbed a SAPS/Metro Police joint operations centre (JOC) on the beachfront near Boscombe Terrace this morning.

There are concerns that the stolen guns could be used to commit serious and violent crimes.

I've always wondered about station, all the seem to do is cruise up and down the beachfront.

The guns should've been kept in a safe at least. Ridiculous.

I wonder if they will be charging themselves with negligent loss of firearms

Yes they will. But is not negligence. Your country is the 'crime capital of the world'. Just do a Google on ' crime and south africa'. Of course, cops are targeted by well trained gangs. To keep a firearm in a safe only helps with 'casual' thiefs. Did you know, on averige, in your country one cop is killed every other day? Hmmm . . . I guess all the cops must lock their guns in safes. At least there won't be someone left to charge when the next police station is attacked :D
