I did not know what saffron was where it came from and why it was so expensive. And it is one of those thing s you think: "I should google that" but at work it is one of the last things I thik of.

Before I started Indian cuisine, I heard of saffron but never knew how to use it or even what it looked like.

Went to Zanzibar on holiday a few years ago and bought a sachet for next to nothing, and gave it to Mr Blu's family.

If only i knew then what I know now about how darn expensive it is here in SA ....

I actually considered importing it and selling it locally but Robertsons and Woolworths will probably off me

I love meso soup. With seaweed and Tofu. Tofu doesn't taste bad at all. I guess some people either don't have that pallet (like, I won't suck out and eat fish eyes or oysters, which IMO is more yuck than tofu, yum)

Nam... I think I'm getting me some meso soup tomorrow!
