Things that just make your day

I didn't have a chance to take a photo, but I just watched a Gentleman from Mercedes Benz (He was wearing one of their jackets) argue with a security guard at the Dunkeld Shopping Centre. He'd parked his Silver SLK in the middle of the parking lot, on some orange stripes, and they'd clamped his car.:D

He was pissed off, the security guard was polite but had run out of ****s to give, and the rest of us was in the throes of some much deserved Schadenfreude.

Love it!! :D

Seeing idiots trying to dodge traffic by driving in the emergency lane and then getting a ticket for it :)

Getting off the highway from Rosslyn onto Bremer street we usually end up in a traffic jam as the oncoming road has 2 lanes and only one of them is a turnoff lane. You end up with cars 4 thick as they all push in from both lanes and bottleneck the on-ramp.

Yesterday we had a cop on a bike drive past us, stop at the bottleneck then force all the cars, taxis, buses and trucks that turned illegally and were clogging the road to reverse and drive past the turnoff then he stood there forcing all and sunder that tried to turn from the wrong lane onto the highway to drive past. He even kept an eye on the queue and anyone that noticed him and pushed into the turning lane were forced to drive on.

I wanted to give him a bells :)

I'm tempted to keep a bottle with a red bow on it in my car for just such an occasion.

A bubblebath, face mask & glass of wine at the end of a long day;
My one-year-old's laugh when he looks at our dogs;
Satisfaction of picking fruit, veg & herbs from my own garden; and
Remembering music I love & haven't heard in ages and playing it over & over.

Tight hugs and forehead kisses
Really long, hot showers
Good hair days
Scents that brings back fond memories
Watching unnoticed as my younger son dances like nobody's watching
Silly text messages from my favourite person

SMOOOOOOOOOOCCCHHH!!!!!

When the whole family is asleep, the house is dead quiet and I can just sit and decompress after a long day at work.

Driving at night is also one.

My evening Chai Latte.
Chocolate chip cookie batter.
Biltong and other snacks on road trips.
