Things that please you...

I have much to be truly grumpy about today. However, I thought I would try to see some of the things I have to be grateful for.

  • My first cup of coffee. Another cuppa beckons.
  • Us + Them. Did a date night with my wife. First in a while. Need to do more of this. We had good food at Mugg & Bean (albeit with abominable service). We did the movie of the Roger Waters concert. Loved it, every bit of it. Sound in the cinema could have been a little better, but wow, what an awesome show.

Also need to have a date with $Wife. 19 years married so far.

We did 20 years in July. Married life has its ups and downs. But I am happier today than in my marriage than at any time previously. We have found that a date night need not be expensive or elaborate. A simple meal together (without the cherubs) doing noodles or sushi is just as enjoyable as any other.

If today's perspective in a glass half full mode, the Metropolitan call centre agent. Another in a very long list of spam calls from every company and their dog! But when he asked how am I doing today, he actually listened and engaged. Kudos man!

My brand new fish tank!
I noticed that mine is looking a little hammered. It would be awesome if my wife would allow me to get that Juwel I have been eyeing out for a while now.

Good for you, though. Marine or freshwater?

Going freshwater, waiting for my tank to be built and some ADA products to arrive and then I am good to go!

We got t-shirts with a map of the world on the front and the number 750 000 (subscribers). Our scum master walks in for the daily stand up meeting and I say "you make the earth look round". She replies "some women around here make the earth look even rounder" to which I reply "suck on that flat earthers".

LOLs all round.
I love innuendos.

Outsurance. Our car was stolen and they were very quick to pay out. Actually didn't try and find reasons not to pay. Also had the car removed from our policy two days later when the debit order was meant to come out.

No, thanks? wait what? An app store where I can install things without creating an account or logging in with my 3 months banks statements, blood and urine samples and my Google account?

You mean I can just open it, install the one thing I'll ever want and leave? No Fuss?

Can hardly believe it, and from Microsoft no less.

My brand new fish tank!

I placed my fish tank in storage after my 10 gold fish died after I used tap water to top up their tank a year or two ago when water restrictions was still in place and the quality of tap water was filthy.

But I'm planning to haul out the tank again to improve the aesthetics of my place.
