Recently saw a short clip of a Sukhoi SU-27 chucking some people over at an airshow with the jet wash that was coming off the engines, but it reminded me how I used to love all my old aviation games that I used to play.

The SU-27 (left) is one of my favourite aircraft (and a true multirole aircraft - just look at the size of this thing):

Started watching "Minimalism" on Netflix last night.

It's interesting and the concept makes sense, but not to the extreme. At one point I thought that the one person was using it as an excuse for having no ambition.

What really stuck though was one guy's comment that he had just gotten a promotion with the corner office, when the realisation dawned on him that he was imprisoned, as he would never be able to live without earning that much money again, but he did not enjoy what he does to earn that amount of money. He felt trapped.

Every second conversation around the building is something to do with rolling blackouts, people switching to renewables or buying inverters and batteries or how they are switching to become more energy-efficient.

This pleases me. Eskom deserves the loss in revenue that they themselves created by sitting on their hands all those years ago.

Same here. They brought it on themselves.

But they will never accept the consequences of their actions.

We are looking for a solar-powered freezer, had enough of loadsheddings and stuff defrosting.

Gathered up all the old unused / broken electronics around my home over the weekend and will be selling it to one of those electronics recycling places today. Can't believe the crap I put away "in case".

Includes: industrial sized CD / DVD disc cleaner, old pc monitor, old pc case, 2 printers (working condition, but Cash Converters won't buy as toner is more expensive than the printer), 2 DVD writers / ROMs, broken ice maker, portable radio, security alarm system.

Why not put it on the pay it forward thread?
